Retrofitting Company in Bangladesh

One firm from first inspection to final certification: we assess, design and carry out structural retrofitting across Bangladesh.

Why one firm for the whole retrofit

Retrofitting goes wrong when the assessment, the design and the works are disconnected: the contractor builds something the designer did not intend, or the design rests on assumptions the testing never checked. Prime Base Engineering carries a retrofit through from evidence to completion, with the same engineers accountable at every stage.

What we take on

How to choose a retrofitting contractor

  1. Ask for the evidence behind the design. A retrofit should rest on tested material strengths and an analysis of the whole structure, not a visual estimate.
  2. Check the codes. Design should follow BNBC 2020 with recognised standards such as ACI 562 and ACI 440.2R.
  3. Ask how work will be phased. Temporary propping and sequencing protect people and keep the building usable.
  4. Insist on records. Test results, inspection checklists and as-built drawings are your proof of safety.
  5. Be wary of borrowed portfolios. Ask which projects the firm itself delivered, and talk to those clients.

Where we work

We work across Bangladesh, with frequent projects in Dhaka, Gazipur, Narayanganj, Savar and Ashulia and Chattogram.

Questions owners ask

Do you only design, or do you also carry out the works?

Both. We can provide assessment and design only, supervise another contractor, or deliver the strengthening works ourselves.

Do you work outside Dhaka?

Yes. We work across Bangladesh, including the industrial belts of Gazipur, Narayanganj, Savar–Ashulia and Chattogram.

How do we start?

Book a consultation and share any drawings, photographs and previous reports. We will tell you what investigation is needed and give you a proposal.

Tell us about the building.

Send drawings, photographs or earlier reports. An engineer will reply with what investigation is needed and a proposal.
