Bangladesh's densest garment belt
Gazipur holds one of the highest concentrations of garment, knitwear and textile factories in the country, from the older units in Tongi to large export compounds along the Dhaka–Mymensingh highway at Sreepur and Mawna. Much of our work here is for factory owners responding to buyer and RSC requirements.
Typical issues in Gazipur factory buildings
- Multi-storey RCC buildings extended floor by floor as orders grew
- Storage of fabric rolls and finished goods above the floor's design load
- Rooftop boilers, generators and water tanks added after construction
- Older buildings in Tongi with low in-place concrete strength
Ground conditions
Much of Gazipur sits on the red, lateritic soils of the Madhupur tract, which generally give good bearing capacity, but low-lying sites between the terraces and recently filled land need investigation before any foundation decision.

Questions from Gazipur
Can remediation be done without stopping production?
Usually yes. We work zone by zone with temporary propping and choose low-disruption techniques such as CFRP and steel jacketing where they meet the requirement.
Do you build new factories in Gazipur?
Yes, in pre-engineered steel and RCC, from soil investigation to handover.
